💙 Happy Boss’s Day to Jackie!

For so many years, Jackie has poured his heart, time, and leadership into Children’s Smile Center. His dedication has helped shape who we are today and has made a lasting difference for our team, our patients, and the communities we serve.

While we’re so happy for him as he prepares for retirement next year, we also know just how hard he’ll be to replace.

Jackie, thank you for everything you’ve done—and continue to do—for CSC. We’re incredibly grateful for your leadership and the legacy you’re leaving behind. 🦷✨

💙 Last week, Jackie and Sandy had the opportunity to attend the Drury Nonprofit Leadership Conference!

They came away with lots of new ideas, helpful insight, and plenty of inspiration to bring back to Children’s Smile Center. Just as meaningful was the chance to connect with other nonprofit leaders who are doing important work throughout our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities to keep learning, growing, and building relationships that help us serve local children and families even better. 🦷✨

🧼🦷 Happy Global Handwashing Day!

Clean hands matter for more than avoiding germs; they’re part of good oral hygiene, too. Kids should always wash their hands before brushing and flossing, especially if they’re helping with loose teeth, using floss picks, or touching around their mouth.

Healthy habits often work together, and something as simple as washing your hands can help keep both your body and your smile a little healthier. 💙✨

🍰🦷 Happy National Dessert Day!

We’re all for enjoying something sweet; dessert can absolutely be part of a healthy routine. The key is what happens after. 💙

Try to enjoy sweets with a meal, drink water afterward, and make sure kids brush well before bed. Those simple habits can help keep sugar from sticking around on teeth too long.

Enjoy the treat and don’t forget the toothbrush! ✨

💙 We’re proud to see Dr. Daniel Kessler featured by KY3 as he prepares to retire after 41 years in dentistry.

Dr. Kessler was one of the original dentists who helped start Children’s Smile Center in the early 2000s and later served on our board. His passion for making sure children, especially those who might otherwise go without care, had access to dental services helped lay the foundation for the work we continue today.

We’re incredibly grateful for Dr. Kessler's role in the beginning of CSC and for the many ways he has advocated for better access to dental care throughout his career.

Congratulations on an incredible career and a well-deserved retirement, Dr. Kessler! 🦷✨

💚🦷 Today is World Mental Health Day—a good reminder that emotional well-being matters in every part of a child’s life, even at the dentist.

For some kids, dental visits can bring real fear or anxiety. That’s why we work hard to create a calm, positive experience, explain what to expect, and give children the time and reassurance they need.

Helping a child feel safe, heard, and supported is just as important as caring for their smile. 💙

😁💙 Our Aurora team is sky-high excited to celebrate World Smile Day with Uncommon Orthodontics!

Haleigh, Jasmine, and Carolina, our three Aurora dental assistants, are taking part in the contest, and if our clinic is selected, we’ll get to choose a local nonprofit to receive a $500 Smile Forward donation!

We love an opportunity to spread smiles, support our community, and have a little fun while we’re at it. 🦷✨
