Get to know Dr. Godfrey!
DOUBLE DOCTORATES! Dr. Godfrey has a doctorate in:
Dentistry – University of Alabama at Birmingham
Specialist in Orthodontics – Dr. Godfrey spent 30 months becoming a specialist in braces,
Invisalign, growth and development and airway management.
PhD in Epigenetics – what does that mean? Dr. Godfrey researched how the environment
changes the development of the jaws, teeth and bones. He understands how kids grow, what
can help them grow and how to it safely. He has presented his research internationally,
published in scientific journals and teaches current and future orthodontists!
That’s 10 years of professional training! Fun fact, less than 5% of dentists are specialists in
orthodontics; less than 1% of orthodontists have an additional doctorate!
CACHE VALLEY LOCAL – Dr. graduated from Mountain Crest and Utah State University. He is
married to Nicole, and they love spending time together with the children Kate, Morgan, Porter
and Jack.
FOR FUN – Dr. Godfrey loves snowboarding, hiking, wake surfing, riding OneWheels and working on home projects to name a few!

BIG DAY! We’ve broken ground for Godfrey Orthodontics! Located across from Anhder Park in Nibley. We are beyond excited to be part of the community. We’ll be sharing our progress and fun things along the way - so be sure to follow along!

Introducing Dr. Tanner Godfrey and his family! He is a Cache Valley Native growing up in the Young Ward area. He went to Mountain Crest for high school followed by Utah State where he studied biochemistry. Dr Godfrey completed his dental degree and orthodontic residency in Birmingham Alabama - additionally completing a PhD in biochemistry as well! He loves orthodontics and is beyond excited to be opening an office in Cache Valley.
