You may have noticed that going to the dentist often feels like starting over: new face at the front desk, new hygienist in the chair, new dentist. It feels different here.

Our team has been together a long time. One of our dental assistants has been with Dr. Lantzy for 27 years. Most of our hygienists have been here over a decade.

Dr. Lantzy calls our dental assistants "ninjas." It stands for Not Just A dental assistant, and it captures how they show up: knowing how Dr. Lantzy works, knowing our patients, often with advanced training that goes well beyond what their job title suggests.

Every morning, we huddle as a team to go through the day. We talk about what's coming, who needs extra care, and what we can do better than yesterday.

If you'd like a dental practice where the team feels like a constant in your life, we'd love to meet you. Call us. 215-860-5901 or visit us at www.buckscountydental.com to book your schedule.

If you brush every day and bad breath still shows up, your toothbrush probably isn't the problem.

A lot of odor-causing bacteria builds up in places a toothbrush simply can't reach, like the back of the tongue. That's often the real source, not weak brushing.

Adding a tongue scraper to your routine, or getting a professional cleaning, can change things quite a bit.

If you're dealing with bad breath, we'll help you figure out where it's coming from. Call us. 215-860-5901. Visit www.buckscountydental.com to book your schedule.

When Dr. Lantzy was in eighth grade, his older brother had an accident that left him a quadriplegic. Their family adjusted to caring for him at home, and the doctors who came through often let him help with things most kids never see.

Being useful in those small moments stuck with him.

By the time he finished high school, he knew he wanted to be the one helping. He looked at medicine and dentistry side by side, and dentistry won out because he wanted to work with his hands.

His father was a carpenter, and the patience and care of that kind of work were already in his bones. He still talks about it that way: this is craft, and every patient deserves the same patience he was raised with.

Decades later, that's still the work he loves. Sitting with the person in front of him, using his hands to help, and taking the time to do it right.

If you'd like a dentist who chose this work a long time ago and still feels lucky to be doing it, we'd love to meet you. Call (215) 860-5901 or visit us at www.buckscountydental.com to book your schedule.

Patients often ask what it's like to get a crown done in one visit. Here's exactly what happens.

First, we numb the tooth. Then we prep it and scan it digitally. From there, we mill the new crown right in the office while you relax in the chair.

Most patients tell us it went easier than they expected.

If you've been putting off a crown because you pictured multiple appointments, here in Newtown, it doesn't have to work that way.

Retirement makes you look at every line item, including your dentist. Going in-network might feel like a simple money-saving move. But you need to look at the small print REALLY carefully.

A patient we've cared for since 2002 came in last week to tell us she'd decided to go in-network. We wanted to make sure she understood the full picture.

Retiree dental insurance often costs more in premiums than it ever pays back in benefits. And it usually comes with limitations, waiting periods, and downgraded coverage.

That's why we created our Membership Plan. It's simple, predictable, and designed to support your health, without the restrictions of insurance.

You get full preventive care, treatment discounts without limits, and the peace of mind of a team that knows you, your history, and your goals.

And because we practice Complete Health Dentistry, your oral health is part of your whole-body wellness: heart health, airway health, diabetes, inflammation, and more.

When I looked at the small print of the dental plan our patient was considering, it had a 12-month waiting period before anything beyond preventive care. And they'd pay out less than $20 a procedure for that.

Retirement shouldn't mean compromising your health. It should mean having a plan that supports it.

Ask us about our Membership Plan. Call (215) 860-5901 or visit us at www.buckscountydental.com to book your schedule.

Nobody wants to hear "floss more" every time they sit down for a cleaning. It rarely changes what happens once you're home.

So we ask a different question instead. What will you really use, every single day? For some patients, that's floss. For others, it's a water pick.

Neither one wins on its own. The right tool is the one that turns into a habit, not the one that looks best on a chart.

That's how real improvement happens, here in Newtown and everywhere else.

You can tell a lot about a dental office by how clean it is. Marg has felt that way for as long as we've been doing this work.

When she trained as a hygienist at Pitt in the late '80s, one of her professors taught sterilization protocols that were well ahead of what was standard at the time.

By the early '90s, when the AIDS epidemic prompted national infection control standards across dentistry, Marg was already practicing them.

That same care has shaped our office for decades. Our tools and surfaces are sterilized to a level that goes beyond what's required because it's the kind of care we'd want for ourselves and our families.

If a meticulously clean dental office matters to you, we'd love to take care of you. Call us at 215-860-5901 or visit www.buckscountydental.com to book your schedule.

Nobody wants to give up their whole day for a dental appointment. Most people picture a chair, a wait, and hours they don't have.

Here's what a normal visit looks like. A cleaning runs about an hour. A filling is usually done in under an hour. Even a same day crown, which sounds like the biggest ask, takes about two hours from start to finish.

We build extra time into every schedule so you're never watching the clock or feeling rushed through a step. Most patients tell us the appointment went faster than they expected.

If it's been a while since you sat in a chair here in Newtown, come see how easy it can be.

If you've been told you need a crown, you might be picturing the old process. Prep the tooth, take an impression, place a temporary, and wait while the lab makes the permanent one.

Sometimes that temporary would come loose in the meantime, and you'd be back in the office for an emergency fix.

We make crowns here in the office, in a single visit.

A digital scan of your tooth, the prep, another scan, and we mill the new crown from a porcelain block while you wait. We adjust the shade to match your other teeth before bonding it in.

You walk out the same day with the permanent crown in place. No temporary, no second appointment.

I've been doing it this way since 2009, and it's still one of the most appreciated services we offer.

If you've been putting off a crown, give us a call. We can usually finish in about two hours. (215) 860-5901.
