Hengst Family Dental of Newport, Pennsylvania, would like to take this opportunity to welcome Dr. Joseph Stirling to our practice. Dr. Stirling received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. He graduated from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in 2016. Since 2016 he has been practicing as a general dentist.
Dr. Stirling tries his very best to treat patients as if they were family members or close friends. He makes it a point to help patients understand more about their dental health so they can make decisions that will work best for them.
Dr. Stirling and his wife have recently had their first child. He has a brother that lives in York, PA. He and his wife love the outdoors. They enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling.
Dr. Hengst is looking forward to working with Dr. Stirling as they both provide dental care to the local and surrounding communities. Dr. Stirling will start seeing patients in December. Dr. Hengst feels fortunate to have such a qualified dental professional coming to join our team. We welcome new patients to call our office at 717-567-3600 to schedule an initial appointment.

Welcome back patients!

Our office is getting back to a somewhat "new normal!" as of this week as we are allowed to start seeing patients with both Dr. Hengst and the hygienist. We ask that you please be patient with us during this transition as there a lot of new things going on. We are needing extra time for appointments for preparing and disinfecting the rooms. You may notice a time difference with you appointments so please check the confirmation message you get. We are slowly trying to reschedule the appointments we had to cancel from March-May. There are several hundred people needing in and we are doing the best we can. If you had a appointment with us feel free to call so can we reschedule.

Coming in to the lobby we ask you have on a face covering and stop at our Covid screening table. Once you are cleared we will have you in our waiting area. We ask that you do not bring any extra people in the office that do not have appointments .We can assure you that we are taking all the necessary steps to protect both you and our staff. We are keeping our office at a cooler temperature due to all the extra protective gear our clinical staff is wearing so you might want to bring a sweater. Please feel free to contact us with any questions and we look forward to seeing all our great patients again!

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S.Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

-Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You'll also be asked some of theses questions when you are in the office.

-We ask you come with a face covering and if you don't have one we will provide you with one.

-We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

-You will see our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean you are offered fewer options for scheduling you appointment.

-We do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you , and every patient, safe in out practice. To make an appointment please call the office at 717-567-3600.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Daniel Hengst and Team
