When you’re replacing just two veneers surrounded by natural teeth, the smallest details matter.

This patient came in wanting to replace the veneers on her two front teeth. Her existing veneers were too white and opaque compared to her natural teeth, with a slightly off-center midline and uneven edges that made them stand out.

We replaced both veneers with the goal of making them almost impossible to distinguish from the teeth around them. That kind of match takes patience, close communication with the lab, and a LOT of photography to capture the natural texture, color variations, and characteristics that need to be recreated in porcelain.

Now, instead of noticing two veneers, you simply see her smile. And she’s so happy to have a result that feels natural again.

These are only the temporaries, but they’re an important part of getting the final result right.

This patient was missing several back teeth, and his front teeth were mismatched and uneven. As we rebuild his smile, these temporaries give him the opportunity to test drive his new bite while we continue refining the esthetics.

We can make adjustments to the shape, length, proportions, and function based on how everything looks and feels before moving forward with the permanent restorations.

The final smile isn’t something we have to guess at. We get to work through the details first.

Can you tell which tooth is the implant?

This patient’s upper 10 teeth were restored with nine veneers and one implant crown, and one of the most important parts of this case was making sure you couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began.

The implant crown was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding veneers in shape, shade, and proportion, while also creating the appearance that the tooth emerges naturally from the gumline.

And her smile journey isn’t finished yet. She’s currently in Invisalign on the bottom, with plans for lower veneers once we get everything exactly where we want it.

Creating a cohesive smile sometimes means combining multiple treatments and planning each step with the final result in mind.

One of the best parts of planning cosmetic treatment is being able to preview the changes before committing to them.

For this patient, I created a quick mock-up using flowable composite to add volume and length to her lateral incisors, giving her the chance to see how no-prep veneers could change the proportions of her smile. We also previewed how gum contouring could help bring everything into better balance.

Being able to see these changes in your own mouth can make the treatment planning process feel a lot less intimidating and helps us make decisions together before we ever get started.

Getting the teeth into the right position opened up the opportunity to address the next part of this patient’s smile.

Once the upper front teeth were properly aligned, they were no longer hitting in a way that contributed to repeated chipping. We also gained the space needed to rebuild the worn edges with composite bonding.

By restoring the shape and length that had been lost over time, we were able to create a more complete, balanced smile while keeping the treatment conservative.

This patient had a broken crown surrounded by several different types of existing dental work. Treating additional teeth could have created a more uniform cosmetic result, but that wasn’t what she wanted. Her priority was simply replacing the broken crown.

So we worked with what was already there, matching the subtle differences in color and character of the adjacent teeth to create a crown that blends naturally into her existing smile.

Not every case needs to end with perfectly matching teeth. What matters is understanding the patient’s goals and creating a result they feel confident with. And in this case, she loves it.
