Happy Halloween from our favorite Thing One and Thing Two 🎃

Good morning! We are currently experiencing a city wide power outage. We are unable to access our computer system. We are accepting calls but are unable to treat patients at this time. Once power is restored we will call patients who are scheduled. Thank you for your understanding.

We feel so honored when parents trust us to care for their children. It’s an even greater honor when those children grow up to be parents and entrust us with the care of their own family.💕

Ashley says,

“I have been going here since I was 3 years old. Visited today with my little girl. Dr. Erin and team are family!! Thank you for all the wonderful care over the years!”

I am the third generation Dr. Cox to treat patients at, what is now named, Main Street Dental. I was 7 when our hygienist Wendy joined the practice. I was 9 when our assistant Linda joined. I was 11 when our other hygienist Kris began and I was 21 when our receptionist Liz started.

This is why I call them my dental family. I have grown up with these ladies, talking to them on the phone when calling my dad (before there were cell phones) or seeing them at the office when my mom would bring us to visit. Now, I am lucky enough to work with them as well❤️

The picture on the left was in my dad’s office for years. It was a joke from the office all those years ago: a Dr. Cox zucchini🤣 Yesterday, they surprised me with a Dr. Cox squash😆 For me, it’s another tradition to pass on, a funny way to remember my dad😇 , and one more reason why I am truly grateful for the people I am lucky enough to work with every day❤️🙏🏻

It’s hard not to be happy when you make someone smile❤️

Today is full of goosebumps and happy tears. Sometimes words cannot explain the joy we feel when a transformation is complete.

This was a wonderful day of collaborative dentistry. I was able to give my patient the smile he has been wanting but was never able to do. After years of working a stressful job that caused extreme wear to his teeth, he was ready to correct the damage so he could smile for his daughter's wedding.

The difficulty was the lack of space available to give him the teeth he wanted. So, we worked together with orthodontist Dr. Baker Rawlins to create the space needed for crowns. Through the use of Invisilign trays, Dr. Rawlins moved the teeth where needed and we were ready to go! Here is his new smile. It’s amazing the difference 5 crowns can make!

He said, "Can you believe at 59, I have the best smile I have had since I was a kid?!" Yes we can believe it and are so excited for him. This day proved that it is never too late to make a change. Confidence starts with a smile.😁❤️

In dentistry we aim to preserve natural teeth. However, there are times when natural teeth cannot sustain more dental work and extractions are recommended. While there are many options to replace teeth, this patient chose dental implants. They are the closest you can get to healthy, natural teeth! They allow you to live the way you want to – confidently eating, smiling, laughing, talking and enjoying all of your everyday activities without worrying about your teeth.🙌🏻

Although her treatment is not finished and her case is complicated, she is one step closer to the smile she wants. It doesn’t always have to be an all or nothing approach when it comes to your dental treatment. We understand that each patient’s needs are different. Don’t be afraid to get started. We are here to help.😊

Days like this are what I love about my job. I am able to make a difference in a patient’s life.

When you are congenitally missing an adult front tooth, it is not a quick fix. You have to wait until you are done growing or your adult teeth are all in place before that tooth can be permanently restored.

Well that time has come for this 21 year old🎉🎉🎉 He came to our office after completing orthodontic therapy. We restored his upper right lateral with an implant and crown. His left lateral was small in size compared to his other teeth so we matched the size, shape and color with a crown as well.

No more gaps for him and he can smile when that mask comes off😁

Transformation Tuesday 😁

3 teeth (patient’s upper left) were not able to be restored due to fractures and decay. The teeth were extracted and grafted for a 3 unit implant bridge. We delivered the abutments and cemented the bridge today!🙌🏻

These are fixed/non-removable restorations! The patient can smile and chew on his left side again! I love my job! ❤️🦷
