Etching, curing and bonding ourselves into the newest episode of Endo Voices, Dr. David Alleman speaks to us about the untold biomimetic solution to restorative endodontics: the “coronal conundrum.” What is his solution and how did he get there? Dr. Alleman’s biomimetic journey began when he was so frustrated with dentistry that he wanted to quit. Traditional practices resulted in failed restorations and tooth sensitivity, so he sought a better way to master the art and science of adhesion, isolation and the mystery of occlusion and occlusal forces. Dr. Alleman welcomes his son, Dr. Davey Alleman, and clinical researcher and wet-handed endodontist, Dr. Shanon Patel, into this most important conversation. Through shared stories and enlightening discourse, this trio will educate you on the principles of the Six Lessons Approach and the biomimetic possibilities realized through the paradigm shift in restorative dentistry. Correspondingly, they touch on, and in great detail, how clinicians can and must obtain complete caries removal in the peripheral seal zone through use of caries dye indicators. Also in this episode, we discuss the hierarchy of bondability in the central stop zone; moreover, managing deep carious lesions while emphasizing some key points, detailing the importance of isolation on DME vs. CL and the real reason endodontically treated teeth fail. Flashback to last week where I saw old friends and made new ones, AAE leadership baton was passed, new technologies 🌊 were debuted,created great content for the the Endovoices podcast, 🎧🎤worked on my non existent golf game⛳🤣 and best of all spent time with my Dad who was able to see up close and personal what the Endo community is all about! 🦷🤝
