Flossing is vital for oral health and it must be done before brushing.
In order to floss your teeth properly, choose dental floss or dental tape, for example. Take a piece long enough to wrap around your index fingers (one end with a smaller length and the other with a longer length, so you can change the used part to a clean one), leave around two inches of distance between the fingers (to move them easily inside your mouth) and pinch the floss with index finger and thumb. Slide the floss gently around the edges of your teeth up to the gum of each side in a zig-zag motion. Repeat it to each tooth and afterward throw the used floss out.
If you notice the tool is getting stuck or shredding, it might be caused by a dental problem, therefore scheduling an apointment with your dentist is advised.
