My 45 year old male patient, a non- smoker and non- drinker was diagnosed with metastatic salivary gland cancer. He was treated with a bilateral parotidectomie, bilateral neck dissection, head and neck radiotherapy as well as systemic chemotherapy. The life saving treatments and dental neglect left his oral condition in this state.

Head and Neck Cancers can be life altering and survivorship looks different for the many patients diagnosed. One factor that cannot be overlooked is Quality of life after recovery. My patient Jack overcame multiple H&N cancers however, after all the treatments of radiation and chemotherapy he endured, he felt discouraged by the condition his oral cavity and teeth were left in. We worked together to custom create a comprehensive treatment plan to restore his mouth back to health. Function, Form and aesthetics was our goal and we achieved it. What a pleasure to get to know Jack on his dental journey back to health. His outer smile and inner smile is hard to miss!! Thank you
