This patient came in concerned about a family history of sleep apnea and showed a significant upper–lower jaw discrepancy with a large overjet (gap between top and bottom teeth). In our practice, diagnosis includes 3D imaging to evaluate the airway, skeletal pattern, and TMJ anatomy
Plan (sequenced):
• Palatal expansion (MARPE)
• Upright lower teeth to coordinate with the upper arch
• Upper + lower braces
• Double jaw advancement surgery (as part of the comprehensive correction)
