In honor of Black History Month, a profile of an accomplished dentist who became a civil rights activist in California. They did not have Jim Crow laws there but they did have segregation, which Vada Watson Somerville and her husband ( also a dentist ) tried to fight.

According to Jane Brody it is completely safe to go to the dentist, provided they use some extra precautions.

As per guidance from New York State I returned to practice today for the first time since March 18. Like everything else, it will be different. We've taken several measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Feel free to call to set up an appointment. Anna or Lisa will be happy to go over what we've changed. What we haven't changed is our commitment to the highest standards of care.
