I have chosen this office for our first visit to the pediatric dentist with my 5-year-old son. My son recently had adenoids removed, and after a scary experience, he did not even want to open his mouth, so I had huge concerns about this visit. But as soon as we came to the office, all the team was super accommodating; they started entertaining my boy, showing him dental tools, telling stories, and offered to choose a cartoon to watch during treatment. Literally, in 3 minutes, my kid felt calm, and only after that, they started treatment. Treated two teeth with pulpitis, with local anesthesia. The treatment took about an hour, after which my son got up from the chair and said that nothing hurts at all, and he even liked it. Thank you, excellent job!

WELCOME BACK!

Dear Parents.

We, at Kids Dentistry Center, hope this letter finds you and your family in good health! Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.

Since the beginning of pandemic we have been providing emergency treatments for relieve of pain and infection, as well as phone/video consultations.WE ARE NOW PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT NYS GOVERNOR HAS LIFTED THE RESTRICTIONS AND ALLOWED DENTAL OFFICES TO RESUME DIAGNOSTIC, PREVENTATIVE AND RESTORATIVE PROCEDURES. WE ARE STARTING TO RESUME SUCH VISITS ON JUNE 2ND.

While many things have changed, one fact has remained the same: YOUR CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE OUR TOP PRIORITY!

Infection control has always been on top of our list. Our infection control processes are made so when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our office to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the ADA (American Dental Association), CDC (U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention), and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). We carefully follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings and guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations for your safety and well being of our team.
We have also implemented the use rubber dam and extra oral suction to minimize the release of aerosols as well as HEPA air filtration units and fogger machines to clean and disinfect the air in the room after each patient.

You will see some changes when it’s time for your child’s next appointment. We made these changes to protect you, your children and our team.

You will be asked to complete a COVID screening prior to your child's appointment. In addition the temperature will be taken and you and your child will be asked to wash your hands upon entering the office,

We will be scheduling appointments to promote social distancing and allow additional time between appointments for proper disinfection and cleaning of the treatment rooms. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

Our waiting room will no longer offer children’s books, toys and games. Sitting will be rearranged to accommodate social distancing.

We ask ALL who enter the office to wear a mask. Please, limit one parent or guardian per child and refrain from bringing siblings who don't have an appointment. Also, if both you and your child feel comfortable, please allow your child into the treatment room unaccompanied.

We look forward to seeing you and your children again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you and your children safe in our office.

Pediatric Emergency - Tooth Extraction - by Anonymous

My daughter broke her tooth in October 2019. Our pediatric dentist, not Dr. Marina, recommended extracting the tooth at some point for possibility of an abscess. We decided not to remove the tooth and to monitor the area because we were not ready to put her through the procedure as her previous pediatric appointments were so dramatic.

Of course, my daughter developed an abscess during COVID-19, my current pediatric dentist, not Dr. Marina, was not open for emergencies and did not have the PPE equipment to perform the procedure. She recommended us to an oral surgeon that only worked with sedated children.

I then started my search online where I found Dr. Marina. I called her office and they were so kind, informative and helpful. During this time, as you can imagine, my anxiety was high as this was considered an emergency and was praying that Dr. Marina could perform the procedure. The office informed me the doctor would call me and she certainly did. Dr. Marina called me directly and spent time speaking with me on the phone about the procedure. She was very thorough and gave me an immense sense of comfort. She explained to me the surgery would be very quick and that the office was safe with COVID-19.

We brought my daughter in and the doctor was waiting for my husband and the procedure was so fast. I can’t thank Dr. Marina enough for helping me during this emergency and difficult time.

Dear all!
In order to protect our patients, their families, our staff and the entire community, and in accordance with the recommendation of American Dental Association we have made the decision to close our office for the next 3 weeks starting today, March 17.
The patients will be seen for TRUE dental emergencies only.
These emergencies include:
1.Severe pain interfering with daily activities and/or sleep.
2. Swelling of the face or gums.
3. Uncontrolled bleeding from the mouth.
4. Trauma to the teeth or surrounding structures.

The office phone lines will be open during the office hours and we will have an answering service available during off hours.

If it any point during this time period your child will experience any emergency, please call the office and I will be contacted and will be getting in touch with you regarding the urgency and ways to resolve it.
You can also feel free to message me personally through Facebook or on our Business page.
We will be reevaluating situation in 2 weeks, and will be updating all our patients.

In a mean time, let us all try to stay upbeat and see the positive things during these difficult and unpredictable times.
Enjoy time with your kids and significant others.
Sleep in late, finish reading the book that's been sitting on your night table for weeks, rearrange your closets, finally have a chance to sit down for a meal three times a day, order 10 years worth of photo prints, learn how to cook a new dish ( those are on my list). ☺️

This is the first time I took both of my... - by Angela T.

This is the first time I took both of my daughter to see Dr Marina Krepkh, the pediatric dentistry. My kids are 4 and 2.5 years old. This doctor is so good at comforting little kids, so they won't have a bad experience during dental visits. especially my 4 years old, she cried and was losing control when she was at another dentist office last year, but this time with Dr. Marina Krepkh, she was able to stay in the room with the doctor all by herself, and came home telling me she likes this doctor, and will not be afraid to come see the doctor again. I can not ask for a better doctor. She is so patient, always smiling, talks in a soft tone to the kids. We need more doctors like her in our neighborhood. She even offered to exam my 4 years old, even though she was not suppose to get her teeth checked until 4 months later due to insurance policy. I cannot thank her enough, this doctor gave me such a sense of relieve, she will be the only doctor my kids go to going forward.

I'm glad i came across to visit Dr.Marina's office. Very nice doctor!. Very gentle and polite and professional when it comes to handle kids. Very friendly staff and most of all no wait time.I was always seen by the doctor right on time, and her clinic is very kids friendly too.So i definatley recommend Dr Marina.

Dr Marina Krepkh is just an amazing dentist. My daughter was so afraid to see any dentist in the past. She was so happy with the care Dr Marina provided. She has wonderful touch with kids. So my daughter is asking me when she is going to have the next appointment .

An Amazing doctor!

The Dr was AMAZING! It was my son's first visit and she was amazing with him she made him absolutely comfortable and was very caring and extremely gentle! She explained everything she was doing to him step by step and he's only 4. He's looking forward to his next visit 🙏🏼🙏🏼
