This is my lovely patient, Lala , who wanted porcelain veneers and came to see me all the way from South Jersey. I asked her why did she come to NYC to see me when there are other dentists in her area. She told me that she was looking into redoing her old faulty porcelain veneers that were done in Colombia. She was referred to me by Brooke , her friend, and who is also a patient of mine. Brooke had convinced her to come see me to redo her veneers and said that I was the best cosmetic dentist to do the job.
Her previous veneers were very bulky, didn’t look natural, and didn’t fit properly. The veneers had been placed so deep into the gums which caused the bone to be “smothered” and therefore, this lead to chronic inflammation and red puffy bleeding gums. In the long term, if these problems are left untreated, bone loss can occur. Since the gum infection was severe, I referred her to Dr. Scott Froum to do esthetic crown lengthening and he did a great job.
I replaced her 24 old faulty porcelain veneers with better fitting and more aesthetic porcelain veneers. Now, her smile looks stunning and amazing. She absolutely loves the new length, width, and color of her teeth. She loves her new smile and has been getting lots of compliments. She is so happy and even referred her husband to me to redo his porcelain veneers. 😊
