The 2025 John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition is now open for submissions.

Held during the ACP Annual Session on Oct. 23 in New Orleans, this prestigious competition—sponsored by the ACP Education Foundation—recognizes outstanding original research in prosthodontics by residents and recent graduates of CODA-accredited postdoctoral programs.

Six finalists will be selected to present their research live on the main podium and compete for cash awards. Finalists will also receive travel and lodging support.

Abstract submission deadline: June 16

All of the National Prosthodontic Resident Exams from 2007 – 2023 are now available on ACP Anywhere, exclusively for ACP members!

Each year, the ACP National Prosthodontic Resident Examination Subcommittee creates the exam that is comprised of questions submitted by prosthodontic program directors and ACP Fellows. It serves as a great learning tool for residents and experienced specialists. You can test your knowledge with the exams first, and then download the versions that include answers and references to see how you score.

The 2024 National Prosthodontic Resident Exam will be available on ACP Anywhere later this month, so keep an eye out for that announcement. ACP Anywhere is the place for online education and resources from the ACP!

I received a beautiful note from a patient who moved away. Truth be told I was the one who was moved reading it...

Dear Dr. De Santis. It took me a while to write to you with Thank you!I I can’t express in words my appreciation for what you did for me. You had changed my whole life. I’m able to smile and don’t have to cover my mouth. It’s been over 10 years and I’m still going strong. I’m doing everything not to waste the wonderful work you did for me. I remember when you asked me to be your Board Patient. At first I don’t understand what you said to me. When you started I realized what you meant. I was grateful that you decided to help me. Many dentists through the years try to help me. Dr. De Santis you are the only one that was able to fix all of my teeth, gums and also correct my bite. It was tough decision for us to leave Staten Island after 50 years. Leave our friends and good doctors. We moved here to be close to our family. So far it looks that we made the right decision. Unfortunately it’s hard to travel to SI. My husband is almost 84, we needed to find doctors locally. He had his Aortc Valve replaced and Pacemakers put in. Our children were able to find good doctors in Albany and local area. I’ve not meat my new dentist yet. My appointment is end of this month. Dr. De Santis I’ll always take care of my teeth and never waste the beautiful work you did. You’re not only a great Doctor but also a wonderful and kind Human Being. When I look at my teeth, I say prayer that God will always Bless you and give long life in good health. To you and your family.
