The enamel covering a tooth is mostly made of hydroxyapatite. Which is a crystallized form of calcium phosphate, the strongest substance in the body. However, even enamel is susceptible to cracks and breaks, leading to decay. At this point, the tooth would need to be restored with a filling or a crown. Hey, that's cool!
