A regular shade guide does not show opacity, or how the pressed lithium disilicate will look at a real crown thickness.

I choose the ingot from the actual stump and from what that material will do over that stump.

When I select an APVolution S ingot, I do not choose it from a generic shade guide. I choose it based on the actual stump shade and what the material will do over that stump.

That is why we developed the AP Shade Key.

The AP Shade Key is made from the same APVolution S material
I use for the restoration, at actual crown thickness.
It shows me the color, value and opacity of the material the way I will see it in the finished restoration.

Each AP Shade Key is hand finished and polished and produced by Aesthetic-Press in the USA.
Now I can combine the stump shade with the actual APVolution S material and make a much more predictable ingot selection.
