Still feeling the love from our Miles for Smiles 5K 💜💛
Every mile walked, every dollar donated, and every smile shared was a step toward healing and hope.
100% of the funds raised are going to support our dental volunteer clinic at Ozanam Inn and to much needed improvements, starting with replacing run down organizers and cabinetry. You are creating a space that supports the level of care every patient deserves.
Our students and faculty are committed to providing quality dental services in a safe, supportive environment. This clinic gives students the opportunity to learn how to treat underserved populations while also reinforcing the values of compassion, ethics, and responsibility in the dental profession.
Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and believing in this mission. You’re making a difference that goes far beyond a finish line!

Our LSU ASDA members had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Annual D5 ASDA Conference in Florida! There our members learned how to better themselves in leadership, clinical skills, and so much more! 💙

Happy Service Month from LSU ASDA! We wanted to do a quick update on all of our past and upcoming events!

Upcoming Events (see 2nd slide for more information):
- JAN 27: Join us for our next Lunch and Learn where our very own Dr. Martello will be sharing how to get involved in service after graduation.
- FEB 1: Join us as we partnered with Culture Aid NOLA to provide the surrounding community with free groceries!

Past Events:
- We hosted a lunch and learn highlighting how to treat patients who are deaf and hard of hearing, and we learned many important skills to make us better dentists for all patients! Special thank you to Nicky Gillies from the LSU Human Development Center for sharing with us.
- We partnered with Grace at the Green Light NOLA to serve free breakfast to the surrounding unhoused population. We were able to serve over 150 individuals and provide them with a hot meal!

In honor of the holiday season, the LSU ASDA Philanthropy Committee was able to coordinate with the Salvation Army to host the Adopt an Angel program right here at LSU Dental School. Students, Faculty, and Staff were able to adopt 100 angels located around the New Orleans area and provide gifts for them this holiday season!

LSU ASDA wants to send a special thank you to everyone for their participation. You have helped make the holidays extra special for so many children, and we are so grateful for your generosity!
