It’s always so sweet when our patients think of us while they’re off enjoying their summer adventures! These sweet sisters brought us back some scone mix from their trip to Maine, and let’s just say… they were DELICIOUS! 🫐

We truly have the best patients! Thank you for thinking of us and sharing a little taste of your vacation with our Petite Krewe!

Not to brag, but our dental assistant is pretty hard to beat. 😉

She has a natural way of connecting with our little patients, keeping them engaged, and making them feel comfortable while they’re in our care. She knows when to be silly, when to encourage, and when to keep them in line!

The best part? We hear kiddos are going home and telling their parents exactly what Mrs. Stacey said about brushing their teeth! She brings so much energy and personality to Petite Krewe, and we’re lucky to have her on our team!

One of the biggest misconceptions the Petite Krewe team hears from families is that baby teeth don’t matter because they’re temporary.

While baby teeth may not be permanent, they play an incredibly important role in a child’s development. They help children speak clearly, chew properly, and maintain the space needed for their permanent teeth.

Baby teeth also help guide adult teeth into the correct position as they begin to erupt. When a baby tooth is lost too early, neighboring teeth can shift into the open space, making it more difficult for the permanent tooth to come in properly and potentially contributing to crowding or orthodontic concerns later on.

Another important fact for parents to know: an infection in a baby tooth can sometimes affect the permanent tooth developing underneath. Untreated decay and infection may interfere with the development of the adult tooth and cause changes to its enamel or appearance.

That’s why taking care of baby teeth is so important! 💕 Daily brushing and flossing, a healthy diet, and regular dental visits can help give your child’s permanent teeth the healthiest start possible. At Petite Krewe, the goal is to help every little smile stay healthy from the very beginning!
