Daylight through a full-height window instead of a windowless box. A screen overhead, right where your eyes land when you're lying back. None of it's decoration. Our third-floor space in Uptown New Orleans was designed as a calming clinical environment on purpose, because a calmer room is part of how a nervous patient gets through a visit.
