And a late start on Day 3, as the time change was catching up with me. I still made it to a beautiful brunch where I met a new friend named Kai Kai. I took an Uber to Point Dume State Beach. It was a short hike to the Point where I saw sea lions! They didn’t sound all that different from my old Bassett Hound ❤️. Finally, I read my book on Malibu’s Surfrider Beach. It was gorgeous!

Day 2 @ Magne Education for their Dental Photography Course - 3 phenomenal clinicians, a small class size, thoughtful presentation, and hands-on made the trip very worthwhile. I brought back methods to improve my portrait photography for digital, case planning. Additionally, I am now better equipped with light filters and soft boxes to convey shade and tooth surface texture to our master ceramist. Thank you for the opportunity to learn!

I travelled to Los Angeles this past weekend for my first dental course at Magne Education in Beverly Hills. I took two full days, flanking the course, to explore, and this is Day 1! Of course, I started with coffee, then the coaster on Santa Monica Pier, a 40 mile bike ride along the Marvin Braude Coastal Bike Trail, and witness to a few watch parties for team USA. Days 2-3 up next 😃.

This weekend, I was gifted the opportunity to reconnect with Dr. Michelle Lee (Fleetwood, PA) and Dr. Catherine Young (Austin, TX) both leaders in our field of restorative dentistry. I took a brief stroll through the Myriad Botanical Gardens and braved the haunted Skirvin Hotel. Had I not married a carpenter and known old properties were terribly out of level, I may have been frightened that ghost Effie repeatedly opened my shower door! 👻

Our Latest Invisalign Before/After

Our patient had several failing, posterior teeth due to unfavorable bite forces and old restorations. This conservative reconstruction included clear aligner therapy, resin fillings, porcelain single-unit crowns on several back teeth, and implant replacement for a single tooth. Total treatment time was 3 years to accommodate travel and life. Dentistry doesn’t need to be completed overnight!

I’m a little late to share our photographs, but LIANNE GRADUATED! Woot woot! You all know how rainy last weekend was; we had to pinch hit and move her backyard party into the garage.
