Did you guess B. Tooth enamel?
Tooth enamel is the strongest substance in the human body because it is made mostly of tightly packed minerals called hydroxyapatite crystals. 🦷✨
These crystals create an incredibly hard outer layer that protects your teeth from:
* Chewing and biting forces
* Hot and cold temperatures
* Daily wear and tear
* Acid attacks from foods and drinks
Enamel is actually harder than bone! 💪
But unlike bone, enamel cannot repair itself once it is damaged because it has no living cells.
That’s why brushing, flossing, fluoride, and regular dental visits are so important to keep enamel strong and healthy! 😁
