Two hundred and fifty years of American grit. 🇺🇸

That’s what’s on my mind today - a story of a nation of hardworking, honest people who shouldered risk and stood together to build a place founded on individual liberty for a brighter tomorrow. That early inspiration, that strain of deep courage, still runs through this country.

As a father and a husband, I feel it especially today: the freedom to love, to lead, to provide for my family, to carve out a life of our own choosing. It’s not easy. But it’s possible because it was earned, generation after generation, and it’s ours to carry forward.

I’m thankful to call the United States home. A place where you can take your dreams, add hard work, and watch them become real. I’m thankful for the chance to care for my community as a local dentist and provide for my family in the process. I’m thankful that the USA still champions the choice to dream, work hard, and build something for the next generation.

As we celebrate the birth of our great nation, it’s our family’s prayer that we find ourselves united in heart and spirit as one America - choosing goodness, faithfulness, and love for our neighbor as we continue to work, play, and build together.

Here’s to 250 more years of American persistence. 🎆

And we’re back! Office is reopened this week after a great time away with family. Recharged and ready to go! And a great week for it. USMNT play in the round of 32 tonight in the FIFA World Cup. Wore my lucky #13 Tim Ream jersey in the clinic today to celebrate! Kickoff tonight at 8pm - woo! ⚽️🇺🇸 Plus July 4th is right around the corner this upcoming Saturday - our nation’s 250th birthday! 🎆

Lots of great reasons to take pride in our wonderful country and celebrate the joys of being an American - go USA! 🇺🇸 🦅 Win big tonight, boys. Go Yanks! 🇺🇸

Howdy, folks! 🤠 Dr. Lane here.

Just wanted to let you know I will be out of pocket this week. We took the family out west for the very first time to see some of our national treasures! 🇺🇸🦅 We’ve been exploring Yellowstone NP 🦬🌄, went to a real Western rodeo in Cody, Wy🐴, and are soon on our way to see the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole 🏔️🌅. Guess you could say I’m playing the role of Doc Holliday this week. 🦷 🐮😆

I’ll be back in town to see patients again on Monday, June 29. While the office is closed this week, I have emergency call coverage set up with a local dentist friend if the need arises. Thank you for your patience as I take this time to unplug from the world and be with my family. It’s been a blast so far and we are making memories for a lifetime. Look forward to sharing photos on our return! 😄

Happy camper! 🏕️

Took my youngest son downtown after work today to purchase his very first pocketknife! We have a big family trip coming up to Yellowstone 🦬⛰️ and he wanted to be prepared for the great outdoors. 🌲🥾 The great folks at Surf, Wind & Fire got him outfitted and ready to roll! 🔥

I am so thankful to live in a place with such a vibrant downtown business community. It’s awesome to have so many local shops like right here in New Bern that help families gear up for their next adventure! Let’s keep supporting local! 🚣‍♂️🔥🌊

One of our very favorite patients came by today and dropped off TWO FLATS of the BEST BLUEBERRIES known to man. What a way to end the week! 🫐🫐🫐

We are so thankful to serve the most fantastic group of patients here in New Bern. We say it every week - we do this for the PEOPLE. Thank you all for the joy you bring and the smiles you share every day at Coastal Grove FD!

This past Saturday, I had the honor of joining my two sons, friends from Cub Scouts, and many members of our New Bern community at National Cemetery for the annual Memorial Day flag placement ceremony.

Together, we helped place more than 7,000 flags on gravesites there in remembrance of so many brave men and women who gave their lives in military service to our country.

It was a powerful experience to walk alongside my boys, show them how to salute each fallen veteran, and speak their name aloud in remembrance. Especially given our proximity to Cherry Point and so many military families around us, it feels especially important to teach our kids the value of recognizing sacrifice and honoring those who have given so much for our liberty. It’s far too easy a thing for us to take for granted.

We are thankful to everyone who came together to make this meaningful tribute possible. I am deeply grateful to so many of our patients who have served or have lost loved ones in service to our country. You continue to demonstrate how strong we are as a country when we stand united and fight for one another. Moments like these remind us how important it is to teach the next generation the value of service, gratitude, pride in country and remembrance. 🇺🇸🗽

When I was trying to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up, I was 50/50 on becoming a dentist versus a Jedi knight. 🦷🪥🤺 Today is the one day of the year I get to be both! 😁 Happy ! May the 4th be with you. 🌌✨
