Dental Assistant (Entry-Level) Wanted

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in dentistry. No prior experience is required—we provide hands-on training and ongoing support.

Part Time. Up to 32 hrs/week available (will work around school schedules)
Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Todd A Carter DDS is a welcoming, patient-focused dental office dedicated to providing high-quality care in a positive and supportive environment. We believe in training, mentoring, and growing our team members and are excited to welcome a motivated entry-level Dental Assistant.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
* Prepare treatment rooms and patients
* Learn to take dental X-rays (per Indiana regulations)
* Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
* Help maintain accurate patient records
* Provide excellent patient care and comfort
* Follow infection control and safety protocols
* Support general office and clinical duties as needed

Qualifications:

* Dental Assistant certificate or enrollment in a dental assisting program (preferred, but certainly not required)
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude and demeanor
* Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
* CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Taking into account road conditions and county travel advisories for all our staff, we will be closed this morning, January 7th. . The office will reopen for afternoon patients today, January 7th. Our hours will be from 1pm until approximately 6 pm.
The office will return to normal business hours tomorrow, January 8th: 8:15 am to 5 pm. Thanks for understanding.

Office will be CLOSED on Monday, January 6th, due to the Winter Storm. We are planning to be open regular office hours on Tuesday the 7th! Enjoy the beautiful scenery and be safe while digging out!! Thanks to all the first responders, utility workers, and folks that keep the world running while we get to have a "snow day."

Imagination Library of Floyd County offers a free book each month to participating children from birth until their fifth birthday. The program provides a perfect beginning for reading success in later years and a love of reading for a lifetime.

It takes only $30 to cover the cost of the program for one child for a year. You may want to sponsor one child—or many!

Thank you Debbie Askren for sharing your warm smile, reasssuring comfort and chairside expertise for (just shy of) 45 years. You helped create a calm atmosphere for our patients, and they knew they could trust you because you cared about them like family. Assisting Dr. Bob at the onset and then transitioning to Dr. Todd, you provided consistent attention, care, and grace. We wish you the very best and know you'll always be part of our family.

Later this Fall, our dental office will be saying "Farewell" to our longest-serving employee. As she prepares to enter retirement, Todd A. Carter, DDS is now looking for a dedicated, positive, personable individual to join our dental team as a full-time (32 hours/week) Dental Assistant. Experience or training as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but experience in a medical setting will be considered.

Pay will be competitive and based on experience, with dental benefits, family discounts, a generous retirement plan and with paid holidays and vacations. Our office atmosphere, while professional, certainly has a "family" feeling where we value the relationships we've built with the individuals and families for whom we care. We are looking for someone who will bring their positive energy to our team, and their compassion to our patients.
