🦷 ATTENTION, PARENTS! 🚨

Did you know that your child can accidentally bite their lip, cheek, or tongue after dental treatment? Local anesthetic can leave the area numb for a few hours, making it difficult for children to feel when they’re biting or chewing.

💡 What can you do?
• Keep your child from chewing on the numb area.
• Avoid hard, crunchy, or chewy foods until the numbness wears off.
• Keep an eye on younger children so they don’t accidentally bite or suck the area.
• If your child does bite their lip or cheek, don’t panic! Swelling and soreness can happen and usually improve as the area heals.

❤️ A little extra supervision while they’re numb can help prevent an uncomfortable injury!

We are SO excited to introduce the newest member of our dental family, Dr. Sara Ahmed! 🦷💗
Dr. Sara brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for creating positive dental experiences for every child. She spent 5 years teaching dental residents at Harvard, and we are incredibly excited to have her bringing that experience and passion to our Up family!
What makes this addition especially exciting is that Dr. Sara shares the same philosophy that has always been at the heart of Up Pediatric Dentistry: treat the whole child, build trust, educate families, and create positive dental experiences that can last a lifetime.
She believes every child deserves to feel safe, heard, respected, and cared for—and we couldn’t agree more. 💕
