Starting off 🦷National Dental Hygienist Week🦷 with introducing our dental hygienist, Anna!

“A proud Tennessee native, I’ve called this state home my whole life. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, and I’ve loved every minute of combining my passion for dental health with creating fun, positive experiences for children in the dental chair. Helping kids feel comfortable and confident about their smiles is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. And yes—you’ll probably catch me singing along to Disney songs during your visit!

Outside the office, you can usually find me exploring new restaurants with my husband or enjoying sunny days at the park with our two Aussie-doodles, Penny and Indy. It’s a joy to be a part of the ENPD team and I look forward to meeting you!”

Did you know that the recommended age for your child’s first dental visit is at ⭐️1⭐️ years old? The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry implemented this change in 2001 from age 3 and the American Academy of Pediatrics followed in 2003.

“The age one dental visit allows for the early prevention and identification of dental disease, maximizing the use of
conservative, nonsurgical caries management techniques, such as silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and fluoride varnish, for early cavity prevention and arrest.”
