Originally treated #3 about 6 years ago and was sad to see a PARL had developed over time. CBCT revealed there is a split in the apical third of the MB root. Both teeth treated in a single visit using GentleWave. I was happy to see the split was addressed on #3.

Pt presents having a history of an apico on #13 with Oral Surgery. Limitations usually include retroprep/fill off the apical portion as well as a 45 degree bevel vs the ideal 90 degree bevel of the root. Patient had a persistent sinus tract that we planned to address.

Proper Apicoectomy completed followed by a 6 month recall shows great healing.

Sometimes things can be unpredictable.

Patient presented with a necrotic #19 and an associated sinus tract. I treated the tooth in 1 visit using GentleWave.

Patient returned one month later with a persistent sinus tract. We discussed all possibilities and decided to take out the gutta percha and place calcium hydroxide. 2 weeks later, the patient returned, sinus tract had resolved, and retreatment was completed.

At 6 months, nice healing has been noted, patient is asymptomatic and happy.
