WHO IS DR. SCHERDER?

Dr. Edward Scherder is the founder of BayView Dental Arts; he has personally designed each aspect of his practice with a few specific goals in mind. One of those goals was to create an atmosphere of low fear and high trust; in addition he wanted an environment that truly reflected the quality of dentistry that he provides.

Dr. Scherder enjoys all phases of general dentistry and prides himself on the modern advancement and technology of prosthodontics, dental cosmetics and implant dentistry. Prosthodontics is the specialty branch of dentistry that focuses on restorative, replacement and function, such as crowns, veneers, bridgework, and implants.

It has been Dr. Scherder’s goal since opening his practice in 2003, to incorporate the most effective and advanced technology the dental field has to offer. This allows his patients to have a comfortable and convenient experience. Over 400 five star reviews of BayView Dental Arts serve as proof that Dr. Scherder has successfully achieved his goals.

Dr. Edward Scherder is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and has been practicing dentistry since 1989. He is the recipient of a Graduate Degree in Prosthodontics. Dr. Scherder also served as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from 1994-1997.

Tiffany, CRDH, ASDH, BA
Dental Hygienist

Originally from Kansas, Tiffany relocated to Naples, Florida with her family in 1996. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2015. She later went on to pursue her passion of Oral Health at Florida Southwestern State College and received her Associates in Science for Dental Hygiene in 2018. She was the Hu Friedy Golden Scaler Recipient of her class, making her supremely qualified to monitor and maintain the quality restorations completed by the specialists at our practice!

Tiffany CRDH, ASDH, BA, is Certified by the Florida Department of Health Board of Dentistry to administer Local Anesthetic.

Tiffany enjoys being a dental hygienist because she loves the ability to be hands-on and directly help people create healthier lives and beautiful, long lasting smiles!

Dana, CRDH, BSDH, MS
Dental Hygienist

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dana relocated to Naples in 1994. She is a 1991 graduate from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and began her dental hygiene career in Morgantown West Virginia. In 1993, Dana completed a Master’s degree in Community Health Education from West Virginia University School of Medicine and was appointed faculty at Edison College Dental Hygiene program in Fort Myers Florida. Dana is licensed to practice in three states West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida and has been a Dental Hygienist at Bayview Dental Arts since 1997.

Dana is passionately dedicated to Bayview Dental Arts by providing long term therapeutic dental goals for her patients, implementing state of art technology and mentoring professionals.

Ashley Marie
Lead Dental Assistant

Ashley is a native to Naples, Florida! She began her career in the dental field in 2005 when she received her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Certification. Her extensive knowledge and experience in dentistry plays a vital role in our back office!

As our Lead Dental Assistant, Ashley is competent and dependable when reviewing treatment proposals and explaining dental procedures to our patients. She has assisted in General and Prosthodontic procedures with Dr. Robert Hedgepath since 2012, ensuring our patients are comfortable from their initial visit through both simple and complex restorative cases.

Ashley’s dedication to superior patient care is evident and her hardworking and straight forward nature leaves both patients and her fellow team members at ease! Ashley does an amazing job assisting Dr. Hedgepath chair-side while heavily contributing to back office management. Her high level of organization and efficiency ensures proper training for all staff and encourages strong teamwork!
