Even 100% fruit juice can contain a significant amount of natural sugar, which can contribute to tooth decay when consumed frequently. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no juice for children under 12 months and strict limits for children up to age 6.

For growing smiles, water and whole fruits are generally better everyday choices. Talk with your child’s dental team about healthy drink habits and ways to protect their teeth.

A healthy smile is built through the little things you do every day. Brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and keeping up with regular dental visits can help keep your teeth and gums healthy. Keep your routine simple, stay consistent, and give your smile the care it deserves.

A tongue tie doesn’t always need to be treated. Some children have a tongue tie without experiencing any problems with feeding, speech, oral function, or other aspects of development. When concerns are present, a pediatric dentist or other qualified healthcare provider can evaluate your child and determine whether treatment may be appropriate. The goal is to treat when it’s needed, not simply because a tongue tie is present.
