A few of you saw my last post and learned that when I am not in the office, I volunteer at an animal rescue. Well, there is more to that story.

At the rescue center they call me the cat whisperer. My friends call me the CatFather, and they made me the hat to prove it. And this month, it became a book.

The CatFather is a collection of true stories about the rescue cats nobody wanted, the ones labeled too angry, too old, too scared, and what happened when someone finally knelt down and saw them instead of their labels. Every label was wrong.

Honestly, the book's whole message fits on one line, and it is printed on the back cover: sometimes healing is not complicated, sometimes healing is just love, offered at eye level. And if you have ever sat in our chairs, you know that is exactly how we treat dental fear too. No judgment. No rushing. Care offered at eye level.

A little something from outside the dental office. 🧡

Many of you know me as your dentist — and some of you know I offer complimentary distance Reiki for your beloved pets whenever you ask. But outside these walls, I also spend much of my time volunteering with rescue animals, using Reiki and a lot of patience to help frightened cats learn to trust again.

I've started a page to share their stories: the hisses that soften into purrs, the ones who hadn't been touched in years, the quiet moments when a scared animal finally feels safe enough to rest. And every follow and share helps these animals find the forever homes they deserve.
