Getting ready for your procedure? Here's what to know before surgery day.

No food or drinks for at least eight hours before anesthesia. Take your regular medications with just a small sip of water, unless we've told you otherwise. These steps keep you safe during the procedure.

Arrange a ride with someone 18 or older, since anesthesia affects your ability to drive. Wear comfortable clothes with short sleeves so we can easily access your arm for the IV. A little preparation makes all the difference in having a smooth, confident experience.
