Candy isn't the only snack that can affect your child's teeth! 🍬 Crackers, chips, and other starchy snacks can also contribute to cavities, especially when children snack frequently throughout the day.

Offering water between meals and limiting constant snacking gives saliva time to help wash away food particles and protect their teeth.

What's your child's favorite tooth-friendly snack? Give other parents some ideas in the comments!

A chipped tooth can happen in seconds during playtime or sports! 🏀 Knowing what to do can help parents stay prepared when accidents happen.

Have your child rinse gently with water, apply a cold compress if there's swelling, and contact their pediatric dentist. Even a small chip should be checked to make sure there's no hidden damage. 🦷

They may help identify developing teeth, areas between teeth, and changes in the jaw as a child grows.

Teeth grinding can happen while children sleep and may be linked to stress, changes in their bite, or other factors. 🌙

Parents can watch for worn teeth, jaw soreness, headaches, or grinding sounds at night. Persistent grinding is worth discussing with a pediatric dentist. 🪥
