Thank you so much to the two team members who came in and helped set up. They painted saturn and the sun by hand, hung every little astronaut at just the right height, and stayed with it until the whole room felt finished.

Nobody asked you to make it this good. They did it because they wanted the kids who sit in that chair to have something worth looking at.

New faces in the ortho chair this week.

There is a moment right before treatment starts where a kid is a little nervous and a little excited at the same time. We do not rush past it. We explain what the wires do, what the next few months look like, and what they will actually notice week to week. Braces are a long relationship.

Thank you for welcoming us and embracing us with open arms. Thank you for your hospitality, your warmth, and your smiles.
You lined up early in the morning, waited without complaint, and then hugged us on your way out. You let a room full of strangers look after you, and you did it with more courage than we could have asked for and more patience than we deserved. Opening your mouth to a stranger takes trust, and you gave us yours.
And to the parents, thank you for trusting us with your children.
To the volunteers we met along the way — it was a pleasure working alongside every one of you. Thank you for the teamwork and the good company.

Evie is back with us for a second summer.

She shadowed here last year, and this time she wanted to spend it on the orthodontic side. That meant sitting beside our assistants, learning how to put braces on her dental model,, and seeing what happens before a patient ever sits in the chair.

Watching someone choose this work on purpose is one of our favorite parts of the summer.

Evie, thank you for spending it with us. You are welcome back any time.

Today the hallway stopped for Hennie.

Hennie Kim is our sterilization technician. Every instrument that touches a child's smile passes through her hands first. She is the reason our trays are ready, our rooms are safe, and our day runs the way it should. Most of that work happens quietly, behind a door families never see.

Happy birthday, Hennie. We are lucky to work beside you.

🎂Happy birthday, Dr. Cindy!
We spent all week planning a surprise. Cake, candles, the whole thing. She looked over for about two seconds, said thank you, and went right back to the patient in the chair. That pretty much sums her up. Whether it's her birthday or a regular Tuesday, the person in that chair comes first — and we're lucky to work alongside someone like that.
