Our dentists, Dr. Jim Ryerson and Dr. Josh Wear pride themselves on how they approach dentistry and care for their patients. Welcome Dr. Johnson!

Dr. Johnson grew up in Killen, Alabama, and after serving a Spanish language mission and becoming fluent, he returned to Florence. He met Dr. Ryerson in 2015, which inspired his pursuit of dentistry. Dr. Johnson is passionate about saving teeth, restoring function, and focusing on prevention. He believes it is better to maintain than repair and better to repair than replace. He values family practice and building genuine, trusting relationships through compassion, listening, and quality care.

Dr. Johnson earned a BA in Communication with a theatre performance focus and a BS in Biology with a Chemistry minor from the University of North Alabama, graduating magna cm laude. He completed dental school at Case Western Reserve University and a general practice residency at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. An Eagle Scout, Dr. Johnson is committed to giving back and volunteers regularly at community health and dental clinics, including La Clínica Cristina in Muscle Shoals.
