the most common cosmetic dental procedures. Veneers are custom made thin shells of porcelain that are chemically bonded to each tooth. Once bonded to the tooth, they are very strong. They are designed to cover the front side of tooth to correct stained, chipped, decayed or crooked teeth. Porcelain veneers look completely natural and are virtually impossible to detect. They are sometimes used as "instant orthodontics" for a fast, cost effective alternative to braces. -Braces and orthodontic treatments are used to correct "bad bites" which may be caused by crowded or crooked teeth. In some cases, your teeth may be straight but your upper and lower jaws may not meet properly. Straightening your teeth may be accomplished in different ways.

Welcome back if you've been away!

Today is the new Monday. lol
Today is also Sally Ride Day. Wondering why I (Dr. John's Marketing Department) chose this post for a dental practice?

I was watching Sally Ride's launch around noontime from my Atco, NJ home, in 1983 when I saw the shuttle combust into thin air while Sally's family sat in the stadium to watch the launch of a spaceship as she was the first female astronaut. I was paralyzed by the view knowing her family was watching and at the same exact moment, my one year old daughter, Brenna, walked into a wooden footstool behind me and broke her front tooth. To top it all off, we were in the middle of a snow storm and I had a difficult drive to the dental office to save her tooth. However, the matter seemed so small compared to Sally's family (I believe her parent were there too) witness the explosion of the rocket. :(
