We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Full-Time or Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our friendly team at Dover Family Dentistry. If you are committed to providing excellent patient care in a warm and welcoming environment, we’d love to meet you!
Position: Full Time or Part-Time Dental Hygienist
Schedule: Would vary depending on if hired for full time or part time. Our office is open Mon-Thur 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-12:00

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform dental cleanings and exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Take X-rays and assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Anesthetize patients as needed for dental procedures
• Stay up-to-date on the latest dental hygiene techniques and protocols
Qualifications:
• Valid Dental Hygienist license in Arkansas
• Current CPR certification
• Experience with dental software and X-ray equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for providing excellent patient care

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires proficiency in ALL dental procedures and an understanding of dental technology. Pay will be based on experience.

Hours

Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use during procedures.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Utilize 3D scanners for digital impressions as needed.
Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Proper suctioning and air/water techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Skills

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with X-ray systems.
Experience assisting in various dental procedures. Ability to fully set up different dental procedures, make temporary crowns, provide adjustments to removable prosthetics, and seat permanent crowns to mention just a few specific job tasks required.
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology for accurate dental impressions.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within the dental practice.
