She came to Dr. Luna after having cosmetic dentistry completed elsewhere. She loved the idea of a new smile—but she wasn’t happy with the result.

A fractured veneer wasn’t the problem… it was the symptom.

This patient came to us after breaking a veneer.

Many doctors would simply replace it.

Instead, we asked why it broke.

Her examination revealed a severely deep bite caused by years of clenching and grinding. We also discovered she was struggling with sleep apnea.

Using a neuromuscular approach, we evaluated where her jaw muscles naturally wanted her bite to be—not simply where her teeth happened to fit together.

The result?

We opened her bite 7 mm and completely rebuilt her smile with full-mouth crowns.

Look closely at the before photo.

➡️ You can’t even see her lower teeth.

Now look at the after.

Her bite is balanced, her smile is more youthful, and the restoration is built on a stable foundation.

Opening a bite this much isn’t something you “guess” your way through. It requires advanced diagnostics, extensive training, and careful planning.

There are different philosophies for full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Luna has advanced training in both traditional occlusion and neuromuscular dentistry, allowing each treatment plan to be customized to the individual patient—not forced into one philosophy.

This day is especially meaningful to our family as we honor the late Dr. Luna, who served as a Colonel in the Army. We proudly salute him along with all the brave men, women and families who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to protecting our freedom.
