Bad breath happens to everyone sometimes, but good oral hygiene habits can keep your breath fresh and your mouth healthy! Here are 8 simple ways to prevent bad breath:

🧵 1. Floss Daily

Food and bacteria love to hide between your teeth. Flossing removes debris your toothbrush can’t reach, helping prevent odor causing bacteria.

🪥 2. Brush Twice a Day

Brush for 2 minutes, twice a day to remove plaque and bacteria that contribute to bad breath.

👅 3. Clean Your Tongue

Your tongue holds a lot of bacteria! Use a tongue scraper or brush your tongue gently to reduce odor.

🍭 4. Limit Sugary Foods

Sugar feeds the bacteria in your mouth that cause cavities and bad breath. Try to keep sugary snacks and drinks to a minimum.

🧴 5. Use Mouthwash

Antibacterial mouthwash helps reduce bacteria and gives you an extra boost of fresh breath.

👩‍⚕️ 6. Visit Your Dentist Regularly

Routine cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup that can contribute to bad breath and gum disease.

🚭 7. Avoid To***co Products

Smoking and to***co can cause persistent bad breath and increase the risk of gum disease.

💧 8. Stay Hydrated

Drinking plenty of water helps prevent dry mouth, which can lead to bad breath.

Don’t forget your regular dental checkups to keep your smile in top shape.

Think it’s “just a sore”? Think again.

✔️ Healthy tongue
✔️ Geographic tongue
✔️ Mouth ulcers
✔️ Oral thrush

Changes in your mouth can say a lot about your overall health. If you notice sores, white patches, irritation, or anything that doesn’t go away within 1–2 weeks, it’s time to schedule an exam.

Early evaluation can prevent bigger issues later, your oral health matters!
