She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Oral Biology Award and acknowledged in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Shae is known for supporting a variety of children's health causes, not just dental programs. She has donated her time and leadership to such projects as Texas Dentists for Healthy Smiles, Give Kids a Smile Day, Scottish Rite Hospital fundraiser and
Children's Hospital Christmas fundraiser. Her passion is working with kids of all ages. Dr. Shae received her dental degree from Oklahoma University. There, she also completed her AEGD and orthodontic residency, while receiving her master's in science. Now, Dr. Shae is a board certified orthodontist and a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification is a voluntary examination process aimed at demonstrating an orthodontist's pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence. Dr. Shae is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Association and the local chapter of the dental association. Believing that learning should never stop, Dr. Shae continually seeks out new techniques for patient comfort and better treatment results, such as low friction brackets and wires made from the technology of NASA's space program. Dr. Shae is an experienced Invisalign provider, which allows adults and older adolescents to straighten their teeth with invisible braces. Dr. Shae Ochoa established her practice in Mt. Pleasant, Texas April 1, 2005, originally on South Jefferson Street. In December 2010, her new office was completed and her practice moved to its current location.
