Dear Friends, Family, and Valued Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has endured many obstacles in the last few months, and we are all looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.
In the face of so much change, uncertainty and volatility, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to your safety. While our office has remained open, we have been stringently heeding to the recommendations of the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) , and the NJ Dental Association to limit care to emergency patients only. Patients with hygiene and non-urgent appointments during this time will be individually contacted to reschedule their reserved time.
Our phone lines will remain open for your questions and concerns. If you have a dental emergency during this pandemic, please call our office at 732-972-6400 and we will respond within one business day.
As our patient, you have likely noticed that Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, itβs both safe and comfortable. Our team continues to be prepared to service your dental needs in a safe environment. The office has always been equipped with safety equipment, but given the present concerns of our State and Federal governments, the office amplified our safety procedures: not only do we have ample supplies of gloves and masks, we have also stocked up on disinfectant products, for your safety. Not only are we stocked on PPE, but the office is consciously setting aside additional time after each patient visit to disinfect the treatment areas between patients. Additional safety precautions have been incorporated into maintaining patient and staff safety whereby doors, door handles, counters, and other common areas will be treated regularly.
We want to assure you that the safety of our patients is of paramount importance to our practice. Our office has always been following infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Currently we are actively monitoring activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Should you need services, do not hesitate to schedule an appointment.
When you are scheduled to come in for your visit, we are asking for your cooperation in our efforts to tend to your dental needs. At your next visit, you will notice our implementation of heightened safety precautions to protect both patients and staff. Those include:
- 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, our staff will contact you to ask some screening questions. If you have a cough, fever, or chills, please call our office to discuss whether or not you should reschedule.
-Please wear cloth face covering when entering the office.
-At the time that you arrive at the office for your scheduled appointment, we will conduct a secondary screening
-We will be taking every patient's temperature as s/he enters the office. Anyone with a reading over 99.9 degrees will be asked to reschedule to at least three weeks later as a precaution.
-Upon entering the office, you will be asked to sanitize your hands (product will be available).
-You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, childrenβs toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients and minimize the number of people in the office at any one time. To facilitate this type of staggered treatment, the office will offer several options for appointment times.
Cambridge Square Dental is concerned about delaying necessary dental care including regular preventive visits. Do not forget, maintaining oral health serves to support your overall wellness. Not getting the care you need and neglecting preventative dental treatment always leads to more extensive treatment (and often more expensive) dental procedures in the future.
It has never been more important to do the best job possible to maintain your oral health. Be sure to brush and floss, regularly. Do everything as you would normally. Since many of us have extra time on our hands, make sure you brush at least twice a day for two minutes. If you feel like you want to take extra steps to protect your hygiene during this time, here are a some ideas that you can incorporate into your dental hygiene routine:
1.Use a powered toothbrush
2.Use an irrigation device.
3.Use your favorite mouthwash.
4.Floss β if you donβt currently floss itβs a great opportunity to start. You have the extra time and once youβre in the habit youβll like the extra clean feeling while also strengthening your gums!
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep every single one of our patients safe in our practice. Call our office 732-972-6400, to schedule an appointment.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust, loyalty, and dedication to your oral health. We look forward to welcoming you back to our practice.
Sincerely,
Cambridge Square Dental
