Mission of the Dental Assistant Program:

The Dental Assistant program provides the students with a quality education that prepares them to be highly competent, professional, and caring licensed dental assistants. Program Descriptions:

The Dental Assistant Program provides a curriculum that prepares the students to successfully pass the California state Registered Dental Assistant Exam and the De

ntal Assisting National Board Examination. In addition the students are well prepared to become skilled Registered Dental Assistants, ready for employment as integral members of the dental team. Each fall semester, 24 qualified candidates will be selected for admission into the Dental Assistant Program. See the Selection Criteria and the Application Process pages for additional information.. The program requires a full time commitment for 10 consecutive months that includes the fall semester, winter intersession and the spring semester. Upon completion of the program requirements the students will receive the Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting and they will be eligible to take both the California State Registered Dental Assistant Examination and the Dental Assisting National Board Examination. Students are encouraged to take the additional requirements needed to fulfill the Associates in Science Degree.
