We are taking this month to bring awareness to Cancer and your oral health’s link to your overall health and disease.

Your dentist isn’t just looking for cavities during your check-up. They’re also keeping an eye out for early detection of sickness; saving patients time, money and even their lives in some cases.

Early signs can be tough to spot on your own, but here are a few things to watch for:

🛑 Sores that won’t heal
🛑 Red or white patches in your mouth
🛑 A lump or thickening in your cheek
🛑 Trouble swallowing or speaking

If something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it. Get it checked out as soon as you are able to. And if it’s been a while since your last dental visit, now’s a great time to schedule one. Your health is worth it!

Luckily, real-life oral care is much simpler (and quieter!). Keeping your smile healthy, bright and cavity-free just takes two minutes of brushing twice a day, daily flossing and regular check-ups.

When was your family’s last dental visit? Don't wait until something hurts. Keep those smiles on track by visiting our website and scheduling an appointment, or call us today! 🦷✨

Hello, Fall! 🍂 Are you ready for cozy sweaters, crisp air and hot drinks by the fire. ☕

While you’re sipping on your favorite autumn treats (whether it’s a pumpkin spice latte, hot apple c***r, or cocoa), remember to keep your smile healthy and cavity-free all season long with these quick tips:

💧 Sip water alongside your treats:
Swishing with water after sugary or acidic drinks helps rinse away lingering sugars and protects your tooth enamel.

🪥 Stick to the 2x2 rule:
Brush for 2 minutes, twice a day (and don't forget to floss!) to keep decay at bay.

Did you know when we sleep, our mouths produce less saliva, which means our teeth lose their natural protection against plaque and cavity-causing bacteria. 🌙✨ Skipping your nightly brushing routine leaves daytime sugar and food particles sitting on your enamel all night long.

If you are someone who often forgets to brush before bed, try one of these tips:

1. Combine it with your evening skincare/shower: If you wash your face, take a shower or put on pajamas earlier in the evening, pair brushing with that routine while your energy is still high.

2. Keep back-up supplies on your nightstand: Keep a pack of disposable flosser picks or pre-pasted travel toothbrushes in your nightstand drawer. While proper brushing at the sink with fluoride toothpaste is ideal, a quick clean from bed is much better than skipping it entirely!

3. Habit Stack: Tie brushing to something you never forget to do at night (ex. setting your morning alarm, taking nighttime medication or turning off the house lights).

4. Place a sticky note on your pillow or bathroom mirror: A simple visual reminder on your pillow forces you to physically move the note before laying down.

5. Set a daily phone alarm: Set a recurring alarm on your phone or smart home speaker (8:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m.) labeled "Protect your teeth, time for your 2 minute brush!"

Many people struggle with nausea and worry their oral health may suffer because of it. But here’s a quick tip: rinse your mouth with 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water after you get sick. (Make sure to spit it out!)

This helps wash stomach acid away and keep your tooth enamel safe.

If you have frequent or reoccurring nausea, please consult your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

April is Oral Health Month, and your smile deserves a little extra attention.

Healthy habits don’t have to be complicated:

- Brush with fluorinated toothpaste for two minutes, twice a day
- Floss daily between each tooth
- Visit your dentist regularly

Small routines can make a big difference for your long-term health.

If you’ve been meaning to schedule a checkup or cleaning, now is a great time to use any HSA or FSA funds that may be eligible for expenses like cleanings, fillings, and more and could help reduce your taxable income and invest in your smile before the year slips by.
