The Alabama Board of Dental Scholarships and Loan Awards gathered in Birmingham on August 14. The program provides scholarship loan awards to dental students with the goal of strengthening dental care in rural communities across Alabama. Recipients commit to practicing dentistry for four to five years in an approved rural Alabama county, helping bring much-needed dental services to Alabama’s rural communities.
