We actually don’t want to take more x-rays than necessary.

At Fresh, x-rays are recommended based on your child’s individual cavity risk, age, symptoms, dental history, and what we’re seeing clinically - not a one-size-fits-all schedule.

We follow the ALARA principle (“As Low As Reasonably Achievable”), meaning we only take radiographs when they’re truly needed and use technology designed to keep radiation exposure as low as possible.

Because good pediatric dental care should always be thoughtful, individualized, and evidence-based. 🩵

A lot of parents are surprised to hear that, but early visits are about prevention - not just checking for cavities.

These appointments help us monitor growth and development, talk about feeding and habits, catch small concerns early, and most importantly, help children build positive associations with the dentist from the very beginning.
