Here at Garrett B Lyons D.D.S., P.A. We recommend using Fluoridex, (1.1% sodium fluoride) which is a prescription-strength toothpaste used to prevent cavities and reduce sensitivity by applying a pea-sized amount to a toothbrush and brushing for at least 1-2 minutes, twice daily. For maximum effectiveness, spit out excess foam but do not rinse, eat, or drink for 30 minutes after brushing.

Key Usage Guidelines:

*Application: Apply a thin ribbon or pea-sized amount to your toothbrush.

*Routine: Use twice daily (typically morning and night) instead of regular toothpaste, or as directed by your dentist.

*Technique: Brush thoroughly, ensuring all surfaces are covered for at least one to two minutes.

*Post-Brushing: Spit out the paste; do not rinse your mouth immediately.

*Restrictions: Avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing for 30 minutes to allow the fluoride to work.

*Children: For children 6–16, have them spit and rinse thoroughly.

We offer SRP! Also known as Scaling and Root Planing, which is a non-surgical, deep-cleaning dental procedure used to treat gum disease (gingivitis or periodontitis) by removing tartar and bacteria from below the gumline. It involves "scaling" (removing tartar) and "root planing" (smoothing roots) to promote healing, reattach gums to teeth, and prevent further bone loss.

Key Details About SRP:
Purpose: Treats chronic periodontal disease, removes deep tartar, and cleans deep pockets between teeth and gums.

The Process: Scaling removes plaque and tartar from above and below the gum line. Root planing smoothens the tooth roots to help gums reattach.

Symptoms: Required when gums bleed, are swollen, recede, or when teeth feel loose.

Recovery: Patients may experience mild sensitivity or discomfort for a few days to two weeks.

Benefits: Helps prevent tooth loss, reverses gum disease, and eliminates bacteria-causing infections.

Experienced in endodontics, periodontal therapy, surgical extractions, and cosmetic
