The night before braces can come with a mix of excitement, questions, and a few butterflies. 💙

A little preparation can help make the first day feel easier: stock up on soft foods, brush and floss well, get a good night’s sleep, and remember—you’ll have a team ready to guide you through every step.

For families in Monroe getting ready for braces, we’ve put together a simple prep guide to help you know what to expect before treatment begins.

A broken bracket or poking wire can feel stressful—but most orthodontic issues can be managed safely until you reach our office. 💙

Here are a few quick tips to remember:

✨ Cover a loose bracket with orthodontic wax

✨ Use wax to protect your cheek from a poking wire

✨ Avoid cutting a broken wire—call our team for guidance

✨ Keep a lost elastic if possible and let us know

✨ Rinse with warm salt water to help ease soreness

Save this post so you have it when you need it, and visit our blog for the full guide on handling common orthodontic emergencies.

If something feels uncomfortable or you are unsure what to do, contact Koga Orthodontics. Our team is here to help families in Monroe and across Northeast Louisiana feel calm, informed, and cared for.

🍎 Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎
Today, we’re celebrating the amazing teachers who pour so much time, patience, and love into our kids each and every day! 📚✏️❤️

We were so happy to drop off a little “apple-solutely” sweet surprise at four local elementary schools as a small THANK YOU for all that you do! 🍎✨

Teachers, you are truly making a difference—and we appreciate you more than you know! 🥰
