Today was my first appointment with Dr. Jaques @ Lake Moultrie Dental. I'm not a fan of the dentist, but today I was very impressed! With my anxiety Dr. Jaques & his Hygienist, Katie made me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Jaques @ Lake Moultrie Dental for all of your dental needs! The front office staff was very friendly & helpful. They made checking in & out very easy!

We use them twice a day, everyday, but when did toothbrushes become our tools for oral health? 🤔

Most historians agree that the first toothbrushes—which were frayed twigs—appeared as early as ancient Babylonian and Egyptian times between 3500-3000 B.C. From there, it’s believed that early Chinese oral health advocates created the first natural bristle toothbrushes with pig's hair.

The evolution continued through the 18th and 19th centuries before the design of the modern toothbrush came to be. 😄
