I don’t often showcase my work. I’ve always believed the results should speak for themselves.
But this case has my heart. ❤️
Shared with my patient’s permission.
A little backstory…
A couple of years ago, this patient’s wife came to me unhappy with her smile. Years of wear and large, mismatched restorations had taken away her confidence. Together, we restored her smile with six upper anterior crowns. The day I delivered her new smile, she was in tears.
Two years later, she brought me her husband.
His case was far more complex. Years of severe wear had collapsed his bite, leaving almost no room to restore his front teeth. I studied his models over and over, and if I’m being honest, I questioned whether this case was bigger than I should take on.
Thankfully, my incredible lab technician believed in me more than I believed in myself. His confidence gave me the courage to move forward.
We opened his bite by 2 mm—a significant change in dentistry—and carefully rebuilt his smile and function.
Today was delivery day.
Moments like these remind me why I chose this profession. This wasn’t just about creating a beautiful smile. It was about restoring function, protecting his remaining teeth, and helping him avoid a future where continued wear could have led to dentures.
Today, he left looking younger, smiling with confidence, and with a healthy, functional bite that should serve him for the rest of his life.
My heart is full. ❤️
Dentistry is equal parts science, artistry, and trust. I’m grateful every day that my patients place that trust in me.
To my patient—thank you for trusting me with your smile, and for allowing me to share your story. It was truly an honor.
