Case Study: Implant-Supported Bridge

🦷The patient presented with two existing upper right implants adjacent to two failing teeth. It was decided to replace the two failing teeth with an implant-supported bridge. While having multiple adjacent implants seems like a reasonable way to replace several missing teeth, it actually sets up an area where complications can occur. A decision was made to replace the two failing teeth with one new implant and to use one of the existing implants to support a bridge.

🖥️Detailed digital records were used to plan a new dental implant and fabricate a custom surgical guide to ensure proper and precise positioning of the new implant.

💀This x-ray shows the completed case, including good bone levels and parallelism of the previous and new implants supporting the bridge.

📷A final clinical photo shows the final bridge. While three teeth can be used to replace three missing teeth, two implants are more than adequate support for the chewing forces.

During your initial exams we search for unusual growths or discoloration on your gums, 👅tongue, palate, face, and neck.
