My dad was a great teacher. He talked about a funny sign he once saw in a business storefront.

It said: “We’ve been in business for 100 years. We’ve had pleased customers and displeased customers. We’ve made money and lost money. We’ve been lied to, helped up and even robbed. The only reason we stay in business is to see what happens next.”



It’s a funny sign, but the lesson in its message is maintaining a positive attitude about what happens to us: the good and the not-so-good. How we respond to both says a lot about us and our ability to bounce back. So, no matter what you’re facing, remember to be grateful for the chance to get up tomorrow and see what happens next.
