Best place i have taken my family to. My kids at first were scared about a dentist. Once we meet the staff and dentist my kids love this office. They are helped through the fears so they are excited about a visit. Thank you!

A very comfortable experience - by Frank G.

I am from Texas and am working here in this beautiful area. I started having a dental issue on a Monday and left a message on the website . By Tuesday the staff at minooka family dental was doing everything possible to get me in and help me . I am 45 years old and this was my first dentist appointment but the front staff greeted me as if I’d been going for years. Sandy took me back and made sure I was comfortable the whole time and we conversed like we were old friends. When Doctor Homb came in he examined my problem and explained in detail what I needed. The knowledge , experience and bedside manner of this staff is on another level. I left the office feeling better and woke up the next day at 100 %. Thank you Minooka family dental for a truly pleasant experience.

We are happy to announce that Minooka Family Dental will re-open with normal business hours starting June 2nd. As in the past, infection control and our patient’s safety have always been our top priority. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

In compliance with the recommended guidelines, the following steps will be taken:

-We will be conducting pre-visit health screenings prior to your appointment over the phone.

-We recommend all patients take their temperature prior to arrival. If you are sick or have any cold/flu like symptoms (shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, chills) please stay home and we will happily reschedule.

-Please call the office to notify us of your arrival. We will re-conduct a health screening and notify you when to come in.

-Upon entering, please wear a face mask, and clinical staff will take your temperature and seat you for the appointment

-In order to reduce the flow of people in our office, we are limiting entrance to only patients or patients and one guardian.

-The staff will be wearing additional personal protective gear, (gowns, face shields and n95 mask) for everyones safety.

-The office will be cooler than usual so please dress appropriately.

-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

We are still awaiting guidance from the Illinois Department Of Public Health on when we can re-open the office for routine dental care.

The following was from the Governor--4/27/2020

Meantime, Pritzker apologized for any confusion he might have caused last week, when he said that his stay-at-home order had not required dental offices to close. The governor said, while his order allows dentist offices to stay open, the Illinois Department of Public Health has issued guidance that dentists should focus their work on emergency procedures only.

“That guidance remains in place. Dental procedures are high risk for dentists, and for their staff, and we’re going to continue working with the medical experts as we move forward, but right now dental procedures should be limited to urgent health issues and emergencies,” he said.
